He was such a good boy! I had a massive lump in my throat so stood outside while daddy held him. I gave him cuddles as soon as he came out. He's currently asleep on me bless him I'm just gona cuddle him all day!

On a brighter note he's 14lbs 3oz :D

Oh I forgot to ask the nurse when I can take the little dressing things off and is it ok to still bath him later?

Xxxx

my lo never had any dressing put on her jab site and I bathed her as usual x

Take the dressings off whenever you like. I don't normally apply dressings or plasters at all, the little hole of the jab self seals very quickly and then you have the trauma of taking plasters off later!

It's fine to follow your normal routine, so bath if you like, just keep an eye on his temp in case he gets a fever.

I took the dressing off when my LO was in the bath x

Well done Max, what a brave boy!

Glad you both made it through unscathed. Jack has his jabs tomorrow - dreading it! x

thanks ladies, yeah think ill take them off in the bath, didnt think about having to get the plasters off ughh :s

ohh Bee good luck, it was alot better than i thought honestly! it was over so quickly and he didnt cry anywhere near the amount i thought he would xxxxxxx

Well done to you both :)

I take plasters off in the bath and whole singing to distract him x

Yeah have given him calpol which calmed him down. He's just not eating though! Is that normal? The nurse said he should be eating normally. He's had 2oz since 12, he had 2oz earlier and sicked it all up. But has kept down about 2 now.

Hate it for him :(

See how he is when it cools down a bit later hun xxxxxxxx
