so much for 99% Matilda... oh is driving me insane hahahah he's even worse than me... so when I said alright let's "finalise" it and go with Matilda he started "...but what about Ruby? Such a lovely name....we should consider Ruby"
really girls... I'm going crazy with this man hahaha so... let's just do this real quick: Matilda or Ruby?
When this is over I'm going to make him sign a contract to not suggest any more names or he will be excluded from the decision haha

You're OH is like me - my husband is dead set on a name and keeps calling the baby Alex but I keep suggesting other names as it seems so final .

Hmm I think I prefer Matilda as it's not as common however Ruby does go nicely with Violet as they're both colours....I'm no help! x

Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, ladies! We still haven't figured out which one we like better...there are quite a few arguments in favour of Ruby, but just as many in favour of Matilda! So difficult.
I am not a huge fan of hyphenated names tbh, but since our girls will both have middle names I think we will either go with Matilda Ruby or Ruby Matilda... as for Violet we have quite a selection of middle names we like, but again...cant decide! I like Violet Beatrice, but not sure it flows too well..?

I much prefer Matilda over ruby. I think it's lovely.

We pretty much had a name for our LO but have gone with a name not even on a short list, so don't worry too much about it being "finalised"!

Definitely Matilda over Ruby. Ruby [I'm sorry to say) reminds me of a dog because i know sooooooooooooo many people with dogs called Ruby.
