Matilda?

Wanted to hear your opinions on the name Matilda! Just came across it today and fell in love... also needs to go with Violet as this would be her twin sister's name!

I like Matilda but people may shorten to Tilly which you have to be okay with?

My friend is called Cerise which is unusual but very pretty.

My greyhound is called Tilly and when she's being naughty i call her Matilda! I think it's a very pretty name and also age appropriate throughout life.

Thanks ladies for all the lovely comments! Seems like Matilda is a good fit!! I think we're pretty much set on Violet & Matilda. Might still change again, but I think that's what we'll be going for... we've decided to call her Matilda for the next couple of days and see how it feels That also means if we ever have a boy in the future we could name him Milo - which is our favourite boys name - as we won't be naming our daughter Myla then.

I like Tilly, too, but I do like Maddie too... so I'd like to use both haha not sure if Maddie is too off, as it's spelled with a t and not a d...

Haha well a few weeks ago we still thought we were having a boy and a girl. The boy, baby A, should have been named Milo, which we decided on right after they told us one was a boy. We were really struggling with our girls name. Now after we found out our Milo is in fact a girl, we thought about naming her Myla, which is close to Milo...so since we were considering this name, we thought this one should be the same baby then! We then decided on Violet - for baby B.
Then we came across Matilda, which we LOVED! Sooooo baby A is most probably (like 99%) going to be Matilda!
Sorry if that's confusing hahah ! I don't know, somehow I just "feel" who is who, as weird as that sounds... Baby B is just my little Violet and we've starting calling the other one Matilda and it just feels right! Don't know if that makes any sense

Now we've starting moving on to middle names already.... and we're stuck again! hahah girls names are haaaaard. boy would have been easy: Milo James.

so much for 99% Matilda... oh is driving me insane hahahah he's even worse than me... so when I said alright let's "finalise" it and go with Matilda he started "...but what about Ruby? Such a lovely name....we should consider Ruby"
really girls... I'm going crazy with this man hahaha so... let's just do this real quick: Matilda or Ruby?
When this is over I'm going to make him sign a contract to not suggest any more names or he will be excluded from the decision haha
