maternity??

Hi all,

I have left work now and started my maternity, i have just been offered a flat i am a single mum and will not be able to live off my maternity pay as it is smp and is £90 a week.

i was just wondering if any one nos if ill get any help paying my rent and council tax.

You should be able to get housing benefite and council tax benefit Pop into your local council office and find out xx

yh as even if you was on normal pay you would still get something, you can get housing and council tax, plus if you work over 16 hrs you get working tax credits too, then when baby is here child benefit, then if u send it to nursery child tax credits too
