Hi,

I work part time, 5 days a week, 20 hours a week. I get just over £120 per week.

My boss is actually my Uncle but he has said today that he's not sure if i'll be entitled to maternity Pay from him, i've told him i'll look it up online & see what I information I can find.

Thought i'd check with you guys 1st before scouring the net!

Advice much appreciated.

I think you'll get SMP if you've worked for long enough. SMP is either £117 a week or 90% of your weekly wage (whichever is the lowest).

 I work the same hours as you and am entitled to it like NickyB said about £117 smp if you haven't been working for long. Give the job centre or the CAB a call they will tell you what you can get. :)

I think you have to have been working at your employment since just before you got pregnant. If your uncle is paying you cash in hand and not deducting your tax then you won't be entitled to SMP. Sorry not trying to insinuate anything but often family jobs can be cash in hand :D

Hope you're entitled :)

Thanks for responces.

Forgot to say, i've been here for 5 years nearly & yes it is through the book, not cash in hand.

So looks like he should be paying me then by the above replies.
