maternity leave

Me and my partner want a baby but we are not sure if i will be entitled to maternity pay. I have worked there for 15months doing 22hrs for the past 9months but i'm not contracted. Can somebody help me out please. X

You should be entitled to mat pay as it's based on your earnings-not ur contracted hours. If u can't get statutory maternity pay then aslong as you have wage slips and have 'gone thru the books' then ul receive maternity allowance from the government.

Mat pay is 6 weeks @ 90% of ur wage them 33 weeks @ 90% or approx £125 (whichever is LEAST)
mat allowance has to be applied for (forms from jobcentre) and is 39 weeks @ 90% or approx £125 (again whichever is LEAST)
