Maternity grant and income support

Hello ladies right here's a little essay for you all basically I'm 28 weeks and 3 days I sent of my maternity grant form yesterday my midwife had filled in the back and I also sent my matb1 when I get told today I didn't need too so today I applied for income support today and have been told to wait for a declaration to come through off me to sign and then send proof of pregnancy off with a bank statement just wondered how long this will all take to be sorted out? Let me know thanks xx

I'm not sure about the maternity grant but when I applied for income support last year I think it took just over a month before I received any money and that was fast tracked as I was in a Refuge x

My income support took about 3 weeks to get paid in - the maternity grant took 4 days from me ringing and saying that I was now on IC (they turned me down originally because I was on contribution based job seekers). I know this can take longer though xx
