Got a christening at the end of april, I've just tried on my dresses but they look ridiculous now lol.. Anyone know any good sites for maternity dresses? I've never been to a christening, well since I was about 5! So not really sure what type of dress to wear? Is it something kinda bright and cheerful?

Is this type of thing to summery?

I saw this one too.. http://images.asos.com/inv/t/49/491/614432/black/image1xl.jpg

But I didn't think black was very chistening-ish lol, more like a funeral :oooo:

Thanks for any ideas/opinions :)

They both seem like pertty good choices to me! Yeh black = funeral and all that, but the flowers on the chest makes it kinda cherry :) but the blue one is gawjusss :D xx

Thanks HeppiBean :) I think I prefer the blue one too but I just wasn't sure if it was more of a summery holiday dress rather than a christening.. I really do like it though, think I might go for it :)

It's so difficult trying to find maternity jeans and trousers cause I usually get petite sized clothes, there doesn't seem to be much petite maternity clothing anywhere haha, that's what I get for being short and round :p

Aw bless ya :) I'm not looking forward to when I can't just get away with my baggy clothes anymore :/ I'm sooo picky with clothes I'll probably only end up with one outfit! If I manage to pick one out at all!! ha ha xx

I've never been to a christening so I've no idea what people wear but I think the black dress is gorgeous :-) xx

Whatever you do, don't buy from Isabella Oliver if the fabric is viscose & elastane combination - they bleach really easily or Mark if you spill anything down them! I spilt neat lemon juice on one of their tops & it bleached it within seconds! They were kind enough (after much protesting) to offer me a credit note as a gesture of good will. It means I still have to spend money with them & their clothes are not cheap! (the item I bought was in the sale - but i'd have been fuming if I'd have paid full price for it)!
Asos have some lovely clothes, Top Shop have some lovely dresses too, also try eBay as there are some great second hand, hardly worn bargains to be had x

Thanks girls! I will need to have a look on TopShop Sunny, hadn't thought of them :)

I wasn't sure if the blue one was too summery, that's what I was worrying about lol maybe I shouldn't go for it then.. Hmmmm I hate decisions haha x
