Hi, I'm 5 ft and when not pregnant I am a size 6 - 8 petites. I'm getting to the stage now where none of my pre-pregnancy trousers are fitting any more, so thought I would go and buy some maternity jeans/trousers etc. from Next and Mothercare, only to find they have nothing for smaller women.

Anyone got any ideas for where i can shop or am I doomed to spending the next 6 months with my flies totally undone???!!!

Please help!

newlook do great mat clothes but the trousers are huge
the tops are great size for small people though
for trousers ive got next and littlewoods just wear a belt with them as they were on the big side when i first got them
manda xx

i was in dorethy perkins at weekend , nearly everything on there sale rale was a size 4 to 8 ! no kidding !

Topshop are quite good I have a pair of size 6 maternity trousers from there and their size 8 jeans were too small for me! THey also do jeans and trousers in different leg lengths.

Next sizes vary hugely - I ordered 8 pairs of jeans in a 8 and 2 pairs fitted perfectly and the others were all massive so it may be worth ordering lots of different ones and sending back the ones that don't fit.

I think that Blooming Marvellous also do jeans and trousers in 3 different lengths.

Er no... seemingly.

I am in Next size 8 maternity trousers and they're way too big :(

Like you I am normally a 6-8 petite. Hmm, just noticed the post about TopShop, cheers for that sass I'll check them out on Saturday!

Thank you!

I know how you feel.
I got lots of tops from Top-shop, they're good.
I gave up on trousers, I know live in dresses and skirts.
:D

Well, after a full day of shopping I came back with one pair of mat jeans from Red Herring in Debenhams. They fit on the waist, but are way too long, so will get them shortened tomorrow. Work will just have to get used to seeing me in the same dresses and skirts for the next few months.

It seems to me that maternity clothes in general are not very well stocked and there is no such thing as petites maternity! Just because I'm expanding outwards does not mean I am expanding upwards as well (I wish!)

If anyone is looking to start a new business, there's the gap in the market!
