Maternity Allowance

Has/ is anyone getting maternity allowance?

How long does it take to heard back from then and to start getting payments?

I'm recieving mine at the moment, mine took 2 weeks to hear back then 2 weeks after I finished work I received my first payment xx

Yes you will get a text first before you receive the letter, I was due to finish work 11th got the text 10th n letter 16th so hopefully you hear back soon when are you due to finish xx

I actually finished working quite a while ago on the 31st of January but didn't find out about this allowance until a few weeks ago.

Luckily I've worked the required amount of weeks this year so now it becomes a waiting game!

If it feels like it's taking a while I would ring and chase it, they didn't receive some of my forms for some reason and it delayed it all.

Mine took just over two weeks as well I think, if it gets to 3 weeks I would ring them, they're usually very helpful if you ring up, also they send (with me anyway) payslips back very quickly as well so if they haven't returned your payslips yet there may be a chance they've had a problem recieving the application xo
