Maybe they just looked at you and thought you were a natural killing machine
In my clubs they let you go for a wee while before you have to get insurance - I just got mine renewed as I've been back a wee while - £35 It used to be £25!
You should look out TAGB clubs, they are really flexible, and normally you don't need to get your license (insurance) until your first grading
Our classes are only £4 each - which I think is a bargain.
I've tried loads of clubs over the years and TAGB are the only one's I've liked. It's why I haven't trained in 5 years cos I couldn't find a TAGB club near me (it only just opened!)
