MAPS Reseach Study

I had my first scan today, 9 weeks n 5 days!!! Wow.

There are posters up all over the ante natal clinic about a study called Making Pregnancy Safe and they were looking for 10,000 women to take part. You had to be pre 16 weeks and generally in good health. They basically just want to do more tests, take more blood and more scans!

Is anybody else taking part in this? I can't see any reason why not to if there are more chances to see baby!

I think i will!

I read all the literature they gave me and it's an international studey so they actually only want 4000 women. I guess that isn't very many in the grand scheme so perhaps its only really being promoted through university hospitals or something?!
