Hi, I have a breech baby at 38 weeks and am booked in for c section.... I have an option for baby to be manually turned, I am a bit worried about this. Has anyone had this done and if so, was it a success and how did it feel.

Thanks all

I had an ECV with my last baby. I was the same and baby was still breech at a similar time. I had reservations too but the desire not to have a section was sufficient enough for me to go through with it. I must confess, for me it really wasn't pleasant. There is a lot of pressure that needs to be put around the bump to encourage it to move. Even though a lubricant was used on the skin, I think the friction caused by the manipulation was the worst bit. It wasn't the worst thing in the world but I was sore for a few days after. The first attempt didn't work so the glutton for punishment that I am, opted to try again a week later. If you are serious about wanting to avoid a section, I'd give it a shot but be prepared! xxx
