Ok I remember a while ago a post about make up!! this is total foriegn terriorty to me! I wore it on my wedding day and thats about it!

I have something coming up thats gonna require me needing it! But im clueless were to start & what to get, I have a very low budget, dont want to be spending loads on stuff Im rarely gonna use! I have pale skin, freckles and dark shadows!
Been wondering what to do, then realised that you cleve lot may be able to help or advise!!! :D

so er yea help & advice please!!!
fank foos

dark shadows, u need concealer
even skin tone, u need foundation
blusher on apples of ur cheeks
eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss
can go for colour on eyeshadow if u want or do smokey eyes with a darker tone

Rimmel, maybelline and collection 2000 do cheap good stuff

thank yous, how do I know what colors to get?!!!!! Ill have a look in boots today.

u need to test concealer and foundation sooooooo carefully so u dont have different colour eyesockets to ur face or a different colour face to neck

test foundation on the back of ur hand, it needs to blend well and not be too orange - get sponges to apply it on ur face and blend on jawline so u dont get tidemarks
concealer should be a touch lighter or u can get specialist ones where theyre slightly green tinged to take away any redness or really really dark shadows, best applied in a stick - rimmel do a gd one

concealer
foundation
sponges
eyeliner

lipgloss

remember if ur doin colour on ur eyes, get a clear lipgloss so u dont have too much goin on
if ur keepin eyes simple with liner and mascara then get a touch of colour gloss or

hth

I am the same as you and when i was planning my wedding i was lost!!! I went into boots and asked a lady she was so helpful and showed me all the stuff i needed, i bought no7 stuff and it was fine. She showed me the colours i needed and what suited me.

ok I landed in the make up department of boots, wondered round and round looking at everything, found it easy to find nail varnish as love doing my nails!

eventaully got brave and started looking properly, the only thing I havent come home with is foundation, that just look blinkin scarey!!

I have 2 shades of eyeshadow, concealer(touch lighter!!) mascara (ready to poke my eyes out!) lipgloss, couldnt make head or tale of the eyeliner!!
gonna hvae a play in mo, who wants a laugh at some b4 and after shots?!!! :rotfl:

Ooo i wanna see pics! :)
Btw Iv heard when you go and buy foundation theres no point testing it on the back of your hand because thats a diferant colour to your face.
So put a bit of the tester foundation actually on your face instead :D

Yes that's right. Find 3 that are close to your skin colour and put a little dab on your jawline, then you go outside and use a compact mirror to see which looks best in natural light.
Failing that there are some very helpful ladies in Boots who will do it all for you and make you look fab!

ok couple pics, Im poo, I gave up on eyeliner, didnt have a clue what I was doing apart from poking my eyes out!
I know I need loads more pratice but Il do it when hubbys not around (he came home early  )
If I want it to show better in pics do I need to do it heavier? also my dark circles are one of my main concerns!!
I would love to use color on my eyes but again unsure of wha would suit?

Ok heres me ugly mug, please no laughin honest thoughts and suggestions! remember this is pretty much me first attempt!
Oh sorry about the haze in second pics but I had to turn shower on to stop hubby interupptin me, I would have been soooooo embaressed!!!

I think your eyes look lovely with the gold on them, and i can't see any dark shadows? You should see mine without make up, it looks like i seriously have 2 black eyes without my cement on :rotfl:
