lymph nodes?

Don't know weather to worry or not.
Woke up this morning and felt two lumps at the back of mia's head.
There is one in each side just above her neck but kinda behind her ears (iykwim)
Rang the doc and he said its probably lymph nodes that swell up if she is coming down with somthing, I'm just getting over a bad headcold so he said she's probably caught it and to keep an eye on her.
He didn't seem too worried and LO seems fine but in still worried.
Have any of your LO's had these?

Haven't had this with my LO, but it does sound like glands. As there is swelling on both sides I wouldn't be too worried and would just keep an eye on it. Thing with lymph nodes is everytime you touch them they get aggrevated and take longer to go down again. If they were still there after a week or two I would probably get GP to take a look, but it doesn't sound like anything serious atmxxx

Sounds like lymph nodes hun o had this when he had a cold just keep an eye on them

Sounds like what E has. Doctor said that it's common for them to swell and it usually isn't anything to worry about and can also be caused by teething as well as illness. They won't usually do anything unless they have been swollen for around 6-7 weeks. I actually have a specialist appointment in a couple of weeks because hers have been swollen since she was 9 weeks old.

Hope everything is ok and they go down soon.

I broke out in a cold sweat when i discovered them...really got a fright.
its a relief to know it happens other babies too.
even though the doc said it was lymph nodes i was still worried coz she was diagnosed over the phone and he didnt think there was a need to come in.
kept asking OH how doc can be sure without seeing them even tho i described what they were.
