I'm looking for some ideas on what to give Phoebe for her lunch. For the last 4 days I've been trying BLW for lunch and purees for Dinner. Day 1 she had a cheese sandwich, day 2 tomato pasta and yesterday cheese on toast. Any ideas that don't involve bread? :)

Tapatalking :)

My lo is loving Dairylea Dunkers at the moment. What about trying scrambled eggs, jacket potatoes or things like that?

pasta things, cheesy beans, chicken and veg kebabs

Lunch is tricky isn't it, coz you dont want it to be too much like dinner but at the same time want to not make it bread all the time.

I am trying to stick to cereal/porridge for breakfast, then lunch is a sandwich/fruit/toast/carrot sticks, stuff like that, then a normal dinner.

Yeah that's why I was thinking doing the BLW for lunch rather than dinner atm cos I'd rather her eat more at dinner than at lunch. It's difficult to find different that things that don't involve bread! I tried the jacket potato and it went EVERYWHERE lol I don't think any of it passed her lips, she's great at picking up food even small things like peas and sweetcorn but she seems to be really funny about picking up smushy food :/ I'm going to keep offering it though as I don't want her to have an issue with it x

I gave Ella fish fingers and peas yesterday and she ate loads of it which surprised me. Today I gave her 2 potato alphabet with peppa pig shaped pasta lol she wasnt too sure about the feeling of the pasta but she ate some of it!

Thanks I'll give them a go, I've tried her with pasta and she quite likes it, will try the fish fingers :) x

What about potato waffle type things? Macaroni? Or even a wrap?

I didn't realise they could have the potato shape and waffle type things already! Must try it :)

I made some carrot and courgette and broccoli and cheese muffins, so she has these with cheese and cucumber. Or rice cakes with cream cheese or peanut butter. It's a bit repetitive for her I guess :(

Omlette sounds like a fab idea and those muffins sound delish. She had some scrambled egg and toast today :) x

I feel quite limited without dairy, definitely on sauces and youghurts

Tapatalking so cant see signatures

Rice cakes with spread - usually cheese, go down well with us. Or veggie sticks with hummus. X

On my iPhone - so cant see tickers :(
