Screen read 18mm when she measured.

She's asked me to come back at 36 weeks but it should have moved, I've since googled and now I'm worried about bleeding, bleeding at birth, c section. I didn't really know what it meant and she didn't go on about it anymore.

Screen said 18mm, what does that mean regarding my placenta?

I'm not sure what the 18mm means but I had a low lying placenta with my first. Luckily by my final scan it had moved out of the way. A friend due the same time had the same and hers didn't move so she had a planned section. I had no bleeding throughout the pregnancy xx

my boyfriend said it should be 20mm so US lady saod it needs to move just 2mm.

I'm just repeating whats said above..i also had a low lying placenta that completely covered the cervix. I had brown spotting throughout my pregnancy so had a few scans for reassurance. At 28 weeks It had moved up out the way and I had a natural birth with no problems :) xxx

I had a couple of low lying placentas. They were both higher at my next scan. Yours is only slightly low so it would be very unusual for it still to be in the way at birth.
