Looking for reassurance..

So the last few days I have t been feeling very pregnant. Boobs aren’t sore, bloat has gone down, tiredness has lifted... I did a Superdrug test today which I would have thought should be very dark by now (I’m 5w) but the test line is considerably fainter than the control line. Does this mean it’s not going the right way?

You should ask for blood works to see if your levels are doubling as they should. Have you experienced any cramping or bleeding? When is your scan booked?

Everyone is different, and some people go through their 1st trimester with no symptoms at all so don't focus too much on that.

Have you done a digital test? I'm not a huge fan of the non-digital tests as I find the darkness of the line can sometimes be open to perception and misleading one way or another, whereas with digital it feels more clear and a bit more certain. Try a Clear Blue Digital, at 5 weeks that should definitely pick up the pregnancy.

It's so hard not to worry, I'm similar to you in that I'm 5+3 and other than one positive test (I'm avoiding to test more than once) and my period being 3 weeks late, I don't feel pregnant. I'm bloated and my nipples (Sorry) are constantly hard which isn't normal but I also think perhaps I'm looking for signs and reading into things too much.

I agree. My test was faint on the line and when I did another test it said I wasn’t pregnant at all. It all depends on the sensitivity of the test itself which varies. I did a clear blue digital test yesterday and it’s the best thing I ever did because it clearly said ‘pregnant’ and how many weeks I was. I’d get a digital test if I was you just as reassurance.

Ps I’ve not got any real symptoms of pregnancy either other than having no period.

Thank you all for your replies. My main concern was that the line was very dark last week and the. Went fainter. And that I did have symptoms and they have disappeared too. But I just took a frer (was a Superdrug one earlier) and the test line came up straight away and was much darker than the control line! Panic over! Thank you all for the support though!

Fantastic news I think it’s in our nature that we are just worriers! I’m the same!

I'm going through the same. Took two FRERs a few days apart and expected to see a darker line. But it was same, maybe even fainter. And like you I've not symptoms at all other than the test. Not actually sure if I've missed a period as yet, as they've been all over the place.

Ive had a blood test done, as the doctors tests couldn't pick up the pregnancy. So it's just a case of waiting for the results and praying for symptoms to come thick and fast lol

I hope it all works out for you baby3. If you haven’t missed a period yet then I think it’s normal for the lines to fluctuate a lot - based on time of day etc.
