i cant decide if this is really funny or really cruel...

i must admit it does make me laugh when i think of it altho i feel mean...

on sunday nite millie woke in the nite so i brought her to bed with us and she slept with us for a few hours.

i was woken up by her shuffling around and whimpering a bit- i opened my fone to check the time, it was 5.30am. half an hour until my alarm was due to go off. i really wanted that snooze so i thought i'll put her in her cot for the last 90 minutes before i usually wake her up.

i did the same right-hand-above-to-cradle-head, left-hand-below-to-cradle-bottom scoop manouvre that i'v done ever since she was born.

she was doing her toddler horizontal sleeping, and i was half asleep (well it was 5am)

i picked her up and then i realised- i was holding the poor little girl upside down!!!

ohmygosh its evil isnt it but i cant help laughing even as i type this

bless her, poor little thing- imagine being scooped up from bed at 5am and held upside down! of course as soon as i realised i turned her the right way up and cuddled her as i carried her to the nursery. and she was fine. she was only upside down for a few seconds!

oh i feel like such a terrible mother for laughing about it!

please share similar stories so i dont feel so bad...

Dont have a story to share but dont feel bad it made me chuckle and if it was me id probably laugh to plus it was 5am. :D

Aww, :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
When my OH plays with Angel he picks her up by her ankles! I hate him doing it but she thinks it's hilarious!

Awww but  That is funny! I would have probably done something similar at some point lol! Just may take a while to remember!

Aww so funny, trix...but if it makes you feel better - when Anais has a paddy, Her Dad turns her upside down and says OOOOPs UPSIDE DOWN BABY and it turns from a temper into gales of laughter - maybe it is good for babies?

I'm always getting Isaac dressed and putting both legs in one leg hole and then getting cross with him when he stumbles about  We were once camping and we were sat around with our mates and the kids were running around. Isaac came running towards us and fell, he rolled and his trousers and nappy came off. He got up and just stood there infront of us all pissing ourselves laughing. You should have seen the look on his little face, he was so embarrassed

Ella LOVES being upside down, we also do the upside down baby thing and she thinks it is hilarious, in fact she throws herself backwards!

I picked Alex up upside down once in the middle of the night too a few months ago. I felt really bad about it at the time.

One time when he was a newborn I started taking his sleep suit off. I woke up to find myself doing it  God knows what I was doing - I was sleep-undressing him!
