Liver problems, how can this effect baby?!!

Hi,

Ive been going to the hospital with riased ALT and AST levels, which is due to my liver not working properly. I had my blood results back yesterday and my blood levels had almost doubled in a week which is a bit concerning. Ive been told I will be induced early so as not to put further strain on my liver. Baby is fine, i'm being monitored a lot and all the traces I have had have been fine.

But does anyone know what complications liver probs could have on an unborn baby? The Hospital tends to be very vague.

If it is OC then yes there are risks to baby its why the induce u early , or chances are your go into labour early anyway.

same if it is hellp but i dont think it is otherwise you would prob have been admitted by now ?

my liver problems have no returned to normal but i do have to have my gallbladder out in the near future .


Have they even mentioned OC ? or hellp ?

are your protein in wee and blood pressure and blood count still ok ? ( hellp related )
