LH surge & ovulation without mature follicle

I'm currently going through a natural FET, had a scan yesterday (CD13) was told my biggest follicle was only 12mm but today I've had a temp rise (although have a bad throat ATM so not sure if that might of affected it) it had dropped yesterday so looks just like usual OV pattern and today I've had a +ive OPK. Could I ovulate without having grown a mature follicle? Perhaps would explain why I'm not falling pregnant if this is happening month after month.
Plus if I've ovulated (going by temp spike) wouldn't I have had the positive opk yesterday and not today?
The one cycle I needed everything to go as usual it's all messed up!

I think so. I think that might have been my problem too. I was usually ovulating but when I had my tracking scan for clomid there was just one follicle but it grew to 24mm! So I assume that without the clomid it would have been too small.

What do others think? I might ask the nurse next time as well!

Turns out you can have temp rise and not have ovulated, I'm actually really shocked as I always read and believed you couldn't get the higher temps unless ovulation has happened.

Can you have a positive on an OPK but not ovulate? I never liked the temperature method anyway!

yes you can, you can also have a negative and ovulate which is why most people say charting is much better because it's meant to be much more reliable to confirm ovulation has taken place
