Just wanted to say hi and see who's in this section as i've only just found it!
Would be great to talk to mums who've had prem babies.


I had Calum at 29+1, who stayed in SCBU until he was 34+3.
Now home on Nutriprem 2 feeding every 4 hours!

Hi ya ! we visit you were so lucky with him ! my friend had a 30 weeker and he was in scuby over 10 weeks !!

leland was born at 34 weeks ,but was huge so has never really looked premmie altho does act it sometimes ,eg his now starting to sit unaided etc

Hi Guys , Nice to meet you.

Its good to make contact with other people that have a prem baby or an experience of SCBU as i think you can sometimes feel very alone and once home doctors/HV etc all have different opinions or don't seem to have a clue.
I am in contact with some people that were in SCBU the same time as us and now home are having quite a bad time with different things and also coping. Today i've been looking at different websites including Bliss and have found that there isn't any support in my area and am thinking of starting a get together up or something (I must be mad as i have loads to do already!)

Gem & Leland - Yes we have been very lucky. He has been great right from the start and i'm very blessed and just wonder when it goes wrong! (Keeping my fingers crossed though)

Ozzy - Is your little one 8 months (33 weeks)?? Sorry i'm alittle confused!

hi havent been in this section for ages!!!!! Well Emma was born at 30 weeks weighing 2lb 15oz and is now 2 years old and Bethan was born at 35 weeks weighing 7lb 4oz

hi, i had my little girl at 32 weeks on the 7 /12/ 08, she was born my emergency c section and shes one week and one day old currently in neo natal unit, shes so tiny but so perfect, she just needs to put on weight, I love spending time with her and its hard leaving her, but shes in the best place and hopefully , soon she will be home in the new year.
