Hi
For the last week my legs are so achy and crampy, mainly my thighs. I was told more potassium so been eating bananas more... doesn't seem to make a difference.
The Drs told me not to do a lot due to the bleed on uterus and low blood pressure making me feel faint all the time so I'm definitely not over doing it. I stretch them and if anything it's makes it worse!! Xx

Although not pregnancy related, I suffer really badly with severe cramp particularly in my calf. I was always told bananas for potassium and tonic water helped. Also stretches like sitting down with leg out and rotating the ankle is supposed to help- the other one I read about was to stand a meter away from a wall, lean hands against the wall arm outstretched and lean into the wall for 10 secs a time and repeat. Hope something helps xx

Hi - I get this and find that it is often either:

1. Dehydration - drink as much water as you can! Definitely last thing at night and first thing in the morning, at least 1/2 a pint.

2. Iron deficiency? This should be picked up on bloods, but sometimes if you are only border-line deficient they won't mention it. Are you taking pregnancy vits, as these have a little bit of iron? Or talk to your doctor/midwife about iron supplements?

My midwife said she'll do bloods for iron, never got back to me so I assume the bloods was normal.
I take seven seas. Xx

Restless leg syndrome is very common in pregnancy too, have a look into it and see if this could what's causing the discomfort? Unfortunately there isn't much of a remedy - just another one of those great pregnancy side effects!! xx
