I had my last day at work today and I was really looking forward to leaving but by the end of the day I was in tears not wanting to leave! I teach a year 6 class and they were all crying too, it was really sad  On a good note I did get thoroughly spoilt! Went out for my leaving meal last night and they'd got me a big box full of baby things like lotions and brush and comb sets etc, then today in assembly they gave me a bunch of flowers, the deputy head got me another bunch and my class got me so many things they literally filled up the boot of the car, I had to bring home 8 big bags full of presents and they're some really sweet bits in there...and lots of chocolate too :D
I didn't actually realise how much I was going to miss work until this afternoon but I'm sure in a few days I'll be too busy enjoying my maternity leave to think about it too much!

Aww, congrats on the maternity leave!!

I can understand why leaving may be hard, you must had such a fulfilling job and you build bonds with kids.

You'll be loving your mat leave soon enough getting ready for baby and stuff!

Just think after the bank holiday when everyones getting ready for work you can be relaxing with your feet up

Mum said you got lots of nice stuff! How sweet of your class! And glad you enjoyed your meal last night :) xxx
