Late ovulation yet again

Well tracking my ovulation but doing the relaxed mobth this month just wanted to see when. Ovulate it's day 18/19 of a 28 day cycle And had positive yesterday has anyone else ovulated so late in their cycle? And got prego?

it depends on how many days after you OV if you are able to actually get pregnant, not being mean but you should have like 14 days minimum after your OV that was my fear that I was Oving too late and not able to carry a pregnancy but then my period did come later than normal so it counted that out..

I am waiting to OV should be some time this week though, Im on CD 13 and counting...

I spoke to a gynae specialist friend and she said doctors say anything under 7 days s bad but anything over that is fine :s seems too short to me? It's usually a phase of about 9 days

hmmmm, if the doctors say that then I suppoes it must, I just always presumed that 14 days after you OV you bleed so you kind of need those days but oh well...

the whole idea of OV confuses me sometimes. Sorry I cant be of much help, maybe try googling it and see? if your still not sure change gynae?!

It's annoying isn't it lol might even pop to gp and speak to her m friend said can have medication to lengthen phase so fx bloody stress lol

Just did another stick came up positive almost straight away and TMI warning ALOT of EWCM does that mean today is ovulation? Also got bad tummy pain

I think your best bet is to go to a family planning clinic, thats what I would do - and express your concerns, thats what its there for and Im sure you wont be the first to notice that you OV quite late..

loadsa luck for you, atleast you are getting +opks - some people dont even get that!

Yeah that's true I'm trying not to stress trying to have a real relaxed month keep thinking it wont b This month and planning for next already lol

Thats what I was like last cycle, you just get that stressed that you think the only way I will calm down is if my next cycle hurries and I can try again, its soooooo annoying. I wish everyday was a fertile day, make thing SO much easier!

Have you tried taking agnus castus? If you take it from the first day of your period, and stop when you ovulate, then in many people it will bring ovulation forward.

Yes. The two potential problems with your cycle are that your ovulating late, which may mean your eggs are 'over cooked', and 9 days between ovulation and start of period is short, 10-14 days is better. AG should bring ovulation forward and you may find you 2WW gets from 9 days up to 10-14.

There is also the possibility that this is just you, and that you will conceive in the normal time frames without having to change anything.

AG is cheap, easy and usually without side effect, so if I were in your shoes I would try it as there isn't much to loose.

I would always check with your GP first though lovie, if you are going there to have a chat about your cycles any way then ask how this will affect you, as it may effect everyone differently! Dont just start gubbing tablets you!! xxxx

Yeah I'm on tegretol which is a strong epileptic medication (not epileptic takin for other reasons) so will have to double check any new meds anyway but it's worth a shot I suppose been googling it and there are loads who conceived whilst having a short phase even on saying a week!!

Yes for some people it's just normal for them. I wouldn't worry too much about it. If you are a worrier (like I am), or you need to feel like your doing something to help things along (like I did), then there are remedies out there that can help.

I think you need to talk to your GP, if you haven't already, about TTC whilst on your medication. Just in case there is anything you need to know.

Yeah ur right. My sticks are getting darker everyday really dark this am does that mean today is ovulation? Yesterday were pretty dark too but more today plus ovulation pains today too

Which ones are you using? The first month I used expensive but clear ones alongside the cheapies as I had trouble reading them!

I'm using onevsteps had what looked like a positive at day 12 but nothin else until now which is the same day as last month
