labour? update 20/2 1st post!!

hi girls.

Posted a thread in labour and birth as im getting quite bad period pains and aches in my back.

Have started to time them as couldnt really keep track of them espec when trying to concentrate on getting through the pain.

If i phone the hospital who do i actually call??? antenatal?? Delivery??


****UPDATE SUNDAY 23.47pm****


lost some plug this afternoon and bump has dropped v. low.

No pains or signs of contractions but have backache!... and apparently im waddling

no obvious waters but have been a lot wetter down there recently (tmi sorry) Put a pad on like flexi told me too and an hour later it was wet but not completely soaked... :/

Put a plastic sheet on the bed just now, so gunna go bed and see what is going on in the morning n phone my midwife just for advice

said to wait it out for an hour
if they get worse or im still having them then to phone and go in
and then she started talkign about im not really that early on really 2 weeks as anything after 37 is on time
and if baby is coming then its ok

hi girls sorry i havent updated..... couldnt get on here.

Went to hospital. Got there just after half 12 as they were beginning to get quite painful and more frequent!
Put me on the monitoring machine and at half 1 came back and said contractions are only mild!

They did an internal and said its still closed!

Did a urine sample and that was 2+protein so they took some bloods and then had to wait an hour for results.... but it all came back clear so they said bye.....

Just had a look at my notes and they say my cervix is 0.5

So this may be the start.... or it may just die out and be false alarm...

all seems to have settled down. Stopped having "contractions" at about 4 this morning so managed to get 6 hrs sleep!

Im off to wimbo today to watch racing so will text beckie90 and let you all know if anything starts up again
