ok, may be a silly thread, but what have you all packed in your bag as snacks and drinks?
i have no idea what to pack? healthy stuff like dried fruits and granola bars etc. or sugary stuff like lollipops and sweets? or things like crisps and crackers.... so confused!!!

xxx

Im thinking a mixture of sweet and savoury but nothing particularly healthy :) Im thinking as well though if I really need something im sure my mum or OH can go to the petrol station down the road for me lol

Tbh, I wasn't really bothered about eating or drinking much first time round.... Hubby kept forcing water into me and some of those isotonic type drinks...... I barfed a few times too, so wasn't.t feeling too much like eating:) So this time, I'm focusing more on what I think I'll like to eat AFTER baby arrives.... Some nice treats - particularly some sweet bits as with my GD I haven.t been able to eat anything like that for the past 3 months!!!!

But I guess everyone is different... And you can't really go too wrong with a mixture of sweet and savory:)

We've been told to take lucozade tablets. You can just let them dissolve under your tongue to give you a much needed energy boost even when you don't feeble eating.

I think i'll go for a mix. I cant imagine anything worse than deciding i really want someting sweet and all thats in my bag is savouries. lol

Wobbles had a sticky thread up (maybe in chat) - about remembering to pack snacks etc for ur oh as well - cos if its a really long time ur in labour for he's gonna get hungry even if you dont wanna eat.

i never really thought about him tbh. ooops

That's what vending machines and hospital cafeterias are for

oooh ritz biscuits, good idea! only thing i have in my bag so far is Haribo Tangtastics!! xx

Ooh I love tangtastics. They were one of my cravings in tri 1. I might bring a mixture too. Heard about the lucozade tabs. Gonna chop up some fruit aswell xxx

I've been thinking about what to pack food wise aswell and agree with the some sweet, some savoury thing. But who knows what I'll fancy when the time comes. Will have to bring fruit for OH cos he's a health nut (opposites attract)

For some reason I think jelly babies will cheer me up in any situation. Random!

Im taking some pot noodles for OH and hoping they will let him use the kettle lol.... The cafe shuts at 4pm at our hospital and they only sell chocolate in the vending machines so taking lots of snacks for us both lol x

I've got Cadbury's brunch bars, special K choclate and raspberry bars, Haribo, a tube of salt & vinegar pringles, jaffa cakes  - and thought OH could get us some sandwhiches from the tesco garage up the road before we go to the hospital as I'm sure we'll be here for hours before we go in....
