Hi I've just started using OPKs as this will be first cycle TTC.

My cycles 28 days (most of the time)

Cycle day 10 today, and this is my OPK. Yesterday's (taken at 12 so same time) was totally blank.

My O day (according to my app) is cycle day 14. So I'm confused. What does this show? Tia xx

Hi Hun.
I may. It be much help but I have just started using opks this months too (yay for us). Anyways I have read that apps only predict it. We have been trying for 7 months now (first month using opks ) we have been going if my "predicted" ovulating date which should be today according to my app. Yesterday's opk was so faint and today I just took one and it's a littler darker so maybe I migh O tomorrow I am testing again tonight tho. Sorry it's a late reply. Just logged in again today after not being on for a while. X

I've decided I don't like OPKs anymore.

Wednesday no line
Thursday faint line
Friday dark line
Saturday faint line
Sunday dark line
Monday faint line
Tuesday no line

Not so sure what to make of this. Good luck with your TTC xxx

If you get a line does it mean you have ovulate? I've just ordered some in the hope that it does show that I'm ovulating?

You get a control line, then if you get another line, that is the test line. This one has to be AS dark, or darker, than the control line for it to be positive. Once you get a positive you will ovulate between 6-48 hours from them (usually between 12-36)

This is the theory, anyway. As you'll see above, I've had some trouble with them. xxx

Hi, I've been using OPKs for years and been very successful. Basically you are looking for the second line to be as dark as the control or darker. Immediately after your period ends you would expect either no line or very very faint and the line gradually increases in colour until ovulation. The best time to do them is between 12 and 2 I would say. In my experience when you get a positive there is no mistaking it as the second line goes very dark. i would usually get three days of positives, one where the line was as dark as control followed by a day where it was darker then a third day where it was as dark x

They are quite confusing I think. Hopefully we will get the hang of them. I took another last night at around 5pm and it was darker than the one at 12. I am going to do another today at 13 so hopefully that's my positive. It won't let me attaché a picture on here tho so I can't show you xx
