£70 for second hand cotton bottoms birth to potty pack and............................
OMG i have never seen so many nappies in my life!!!! Now im really worried LOL
I just used good, old fashioned terry squares - with no liner! - big pins and those awful, big rubber pants (if my son grows up with any strange fetishes, I'll know why ). Are you going to use liners?
It's like having a dishwasher - you need a lot of dishes so that you can fill it each time, yet keep eating... I know, that is far too cryptic!
P.S. I used to love seeing a row of gleaming white squares on my washing line and even enjoyed folding them into neatly stacked piles when they were dry (how sad am I?).
I'm not sure it worked out that much more eco-friendly (and will be even less so in winter). I mean, my little boy leaked through everything (even with the rubber pants). I had to change him and his bed covers a few times at night and his clothes every time he needed a nappy change. That's a lot of washing and, if you can't air dry in winter, then a lot of drying too. Not to mention the amount of sheer hard work! You also need to carry the wet/dirty ones around with you until you get home, if you nappy change at e.g. the shops, so you may have to use a sealable bag for that. You have to have space in your house to soak the nappies until you can wash them properly.
I hope your 'cotton bottoms' are more efficient than terry squares. I'm sure they will be and so worth the extra expense in buying them. Have fun, imagining putting them on a tiny bum
