just come out of hospital

had a faint spell again i get them quite regular, starts off with the buzzin in my ears..then i go blind or i get spots in my eyes..then i start to feel sick..and sweat RLY bad..get bad period type cramps..feel dizzy and sometimes pass out. i usually have a little episode then it dissapears, i put it down to iron, so i had iron tablets..yesterday i had an episode, it stopped and usually it wont happen again for a while, so i went out with a friend, we got to the bustop and it happened again, really bad, 100 times worse than normal, so the bus driver called an ambulance, went into hospital, they kept me in overnight, checked my obs every 3 hours..checked my blood..urine..ears..eyes..did co-ordination tests..lung tests..clot things everything and they cannot find out whats wrong with me they have sent me home with a heart monitor today and i have to return it tomorrow with the results, im not really worried about myself as all the baby tests were fine, hes doing great, just something strange wrong with me lol, any ideas girls? x

Sounds similar to what happens to me occasionally. I got all hot and a bit difficult to breath, go fuzzy eyed and weird and feel like i am going to pass out. Originally i thought it was cause i hadnt eaten or drank anything before i went somewhere but it still happens occasionally now. It might still be the iron problem cause i am still anaemic but most of the time i feel fine.

Could it be your sugar levels?

i know exactly what u mean hun, I used to get those kind of 'episodes' alot before I had Jam, expecially when i was stressed out!!

have only had 1 since hes been born, maybe it was just the stress?

i hope ur ok tho and they ease up and go for u, theyre not nice at all!!

thanks girls, took the heart scan back today waiting for the results. at least all is fine with baby, im sure i can cope with more ilness for my little boy lol xx hel b worth it in the end xx

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell Mummytobe.

Some of your symptoms are the same as I had a couple of weeks ago when I fainted/blacked out 3 times. Turned out with me it was iron deficiency anaemia and low blood sugar. So now I'm on the iron tablets and making sure I have a glucoze drink each day in the morning.

Have you had the test results yet? I hope they can find out what it is. Maybe you could try changing your diet a bit just in case it is anaemia. It's very easy to fix if it is that

The other thing they were testing for was diabetes. Apparently that was another possibility although it turned out negative.

they said it could well be alice laying funny and trapping the blood running through me. they used to be worse if i layed on my back.

I sometimes have episodes like that, they were worse in my last 2 pregnancies, I was diagnosed with tachycardia (fast heart beat), but they couldnt work out why. My consultant has asked the cardiology team to do a 24 hour tape, I think like the one you just did to see how my heart is coping. It's rubbish though, you feel dreadfull when it happens. Try to take it easy, I hope they sort it out for you
