Hello
I was carrying one of those TV dinner tables into the lounge and hit the door frame and the table went into my stomach. I wouldn't normally think anything of it but of course now I'm panicking I've disturbed my baby :(
It went into me on my left hand side by my waist ie way up from where the bean is but you know how you still worry. It just shocked me rather than hurt me - winded me a bit.
Do you think all is OK?
xx

I'm a clumsy person and it does make you worry but I imagine the bean is very well protected in there. Long as you dont have any cramps or bleeding things should be ok.

I just called the Cow and Gate midwife line and she said all will be absolutely fine - PHEW!!!
She said baby is so well-protected that unless it was a very hard bang there's nothing to worry about. I'm to sit down, put my feet up and have a nice cuppa.
Obvs if pain or bleeding then seek help but by the sounds of it baby is OK.
Cue tears of relief from me!!

It's scary when you do something - you just go all eeek and the world stops.

xx

Drummerswife oooouch falling on bump at 8 months!! Bless your sis! How are you, lovely? xx

Forgot to say before but I fell down the stairs top to bottom when I was 7 months pregnant with my daughter and she was fine! Glad your ok x

Hey Hun,

I'm a worrier! every little knock or bump makes me so paranoid but after having my scan last week and feeling how hard the sonographer pushed down on my tummy trying to get bambino to move, I know how protected they are in there. I'm sure everything will be fine :) xx

Sarah - OMG falling down stairs! I am so glad all was OK - bet you were in a state though with worry bless you?

Robtans - good point about the sonographer there - never thought of that! That made me feel better :hugs:
Did you post any pics on here? I've been away a while lately and am not up on what's happening on the PF street!

I did indeed...think the title was "scan today!! :)" dont think its too far down the page. It shocked me how hard she did press down to be honest. I do have abit of a belly but it was more just above the pubic line and it actually brought tears to my eyes. I had to squeeze my OH hand to stop myself from saying ouch! The little thing was being stubborn so the lady couldnt do her measurements but soon enough he/she started moving and no harm done! It does make you very paranoid though, suppose it does with everyone. Just that instinct to protect our children :) xx

Hey sunny- I'm cool still in ttc but tried preseed this month so fx for a bfp x

Aw thanks girls!! And FX Drummers Wife! Preseed was what we used the month it happened so I've nothing but praise for that wonder product hehe! :yay:

Glad you are ok hunny. I think its only natural to worry but as the other girls have said baby sunny is tucked up nice and safe x x

Ahh I am doing ok thanks hun. Have my appt to see the specialist next month so now of course I am wishing my life away!! But we will get there just need to stay positive x x

Try not to worry about bumps and knocks, I had a car crash at 30 weeks pregnant, my car was a total wrote off and my little one is 12 weeks old happy and healthy x

I had an early scan, and the lady was pressing down really hard! I was actually worried! And cause I had a full bladder too it was actually quite painful :( I do think they are well cushioned though, I think at this stage the uterus is still in behind the bladder (i could be wrong lol) so any knocks would affect your bladder first before baby x x
