Went to the Dr yesterday for the results of my initial tests - we have been ttc since last September, but recently my cycle has been all over the place, very short, light periods and my last cycle was 78 days...
She said my ultrasound was normal, but my LH levels were higher than my FSH, and that in conjunction with my messed up periods suggested PCOS.
To make things worse, hubby got a letter yesterday too to request that he repeat his SA. I know we could be worrying over nothing but I feel that if it was just PCOS we could work with it, but if something isnt right with both of us surely it will be so much harder?
Weve been referred to the fertility clinic and have our appointment in a couple of weeks (on my birthday of all days...)
I guess Im just struggling with the fact that there could be actual issues - part of me was still clinging to the fact that its normal to take a year to conceive, and we werent quite there yet. Id also never even thought of PCOS as an option - I dont have any of the typical symptoms but the more I read the more I think the less well known symptoms do seem to fit.
Any support or advice welcome - anyone here had a similar story?
