My temporary employment ended this week, meaning I'll be back on jobseekers until either i get more temp work or i have the baby. I know you can move onto income support once you reach 29 weeks, but does anyone have any experience of this?

My partner is currently working full time for my dad, as well as part time whilst uni is off.

I know I'm eligible to full jobseekers no matter what he earns, as this is based on my income alone...

But what happens when I get to 29 weeks? Does my partner working mean I can't switch to income support as he earns too much, or does it mean I have to stay on job seekers (if I'm allowed). Is it treated as a seperate case because I'm pregnant?

Anyw advice would be appreciated! :) x

If u live with ur partner and he works more than 24 hours then u can't get income support.
Have u worked for more than 26 weeks in the 66 weeks up until ur due date? If u have u can claim maternity allowance which is upto (depending on previous earnings) £125 (approx) for 39 weeks x

Thanks hun, yeah I'm sure I have worked more than 26 weeks x How do I apply for that?x

Go to jobcentre and ask for a form,it was a pain to fill in but I found the helpline (number on back of form) very helpful :)
