Since having my son my jaw has started clicking. When i eat, when i talk. And its beginning to feel sore. Prob going to get lock jaw. very worried. Anyone else had this? :(

:D Hi go to your dentist hun it sounds like something called TMJ I've got it.

I used to have to wear a guard at night as i gring my teeth but it had all settled. Will give my Dentist a call. What is TMJ?

TMJ is temporo mandibular joint i think ??? Its the joint that opens and closes your mouth when you eat, talk drink etc

Thanks Emma58. Sounds like what i have got. Suffer with stress. Had bad headaches when i was planning my wedding.MIL dont ask. Thats why i have a guard. will dig it out now. :D

I grind my teeth at night too and clench them when I'm stressed although i even do it when I'm driving! It causes more problems than you'd think I've got a list as long as my arm from this my jaw clicking being one of them.

I hope you get sorted out soon

Cand say i know either but all the best sweety hope you get it sorted out

I've got a clicky jaw, spoke to my Dentist about it as it used to get quite painful. I had a special guard made which I wore at night. At some point I lost the guard and now I don't even think about it.

My jaw still clicks but the Dentist assured me that its not a problem and the only way round it was an operation which involved external wires for a period of time and would be very painful. I just accept the clicks now and don't think about it.

I do find that if I have to have any dental work done which involves me having my mouth open for a long period of time it can get a bit painful, so the dentist gives me a special wedge to keep my mouth open. It really helps.

Same here, I have had a clicky jaw for years. It hurts sometimes but I am just used to it now. It drives my family mad when we are eating though, and I sometimes feel a bit embaressed when out eating with people as it can be quite loud sometimes
