we had an awful night last night - Jasper slept from 10 to 1, woke up for a feed (which is no problem, hes allowed to feed) but then proceeded to cry for roughly 2 hours. We tried EVERYTHING, rocking him to sleep (would eventually stop fighting, fall asleep and then wake himself up crying) feeding again (no way) burping, stroking EVERYTHING
eventually i popped him in his cot (which is attached to the bed) on his front and put my hand on his back, he cried for about 3 mins before falling asleep on his own. Woke himself up 10mins later and started crying again, i put my hand on his back and he cried for another 3 mins before falling asleep
then slept through til 9am... such a complicated little fellow! When i got pregnant i thought i would never have a baby crying without hold him or comforting him, but i have to accept that regardless of what i think, thats not what Jasper needs and instead i have to allow him to settle himself off to sleep (with a bit of human contact but not alot) he is much happier for it...
