scrap book!

I now its very early but I want everything in there!

So far its consists of....


A pic of our engagement, then our wedding, then the first test result, CBD result, pic of david holding the results, then a pic of us all the day we got our BFP including big sister Kathryn, pic of my bump to be yesterday as that was last day of month 1!

Will be adding monthly pics and daily notes as I go along....its keeping my occupied and stopping my mind wandering lol!

Anyone else making anything like this?

Im doing something similar Wilma, but not so much a month by month guide of the pregnancy. My friend went to america recently and brought me back a beautiful book to record babies first year. It has sections for when we found out about the pregnancy, any cravings i had and little slots for ultrasounds etc It then goes on to a page about the hours before babies arrival, and then or each month it has a slot for a picture and room to write a little caption. My favourit parts are the footprint and handpring pages Its a great idea though wilma xxx

I bought a nice notebook the day after I found out and am keeping a little diary- little, as I keep forgetting to do it! But have done a few days and put a couple of pics of my tummy and will do a couple of the scan. Today I'll hopefully get a box to keep things in, which my mums already started!

Thanks Mrsb...just never did anything like this with DD pregnancy but now im into all things crafty thought it would be nice! And I made one for my dd leaving school from starting school so she did kinda get one....eventually! lol

Ha well Im a big lass so I wont have any noticibly different belly pics for a while yet lol but im taking them anyway for my own reference! Once I get a proper bump I will be xxxlolxxx

I've seen record books in WHSmith and Mothercare that are lovely! Although most only come in pink or blue so need to hang on until he/she makes an appearance! x

Aww - it's great how enthusiastic you are

I was actually wondering about doing a YouTube Vlog (video blog - nerd speak). I never take photographs of anything because they just never seem to do anything justice.

I hate to be in the limelight but i keep on thinking about great it would be for the kids to be able to look back and see me actually talking when i was younger and seeing me with them in my belly

Wilma what a fab idea. I would do this if I didn't still have our wedding scrap album to do. i've just been a little pre-occupied

However I have crocheted a wonderful star blanket for baby that took me about 2 weeks and a little cardigan that took a week

Well Wilma I can't knit so I crochet and I couldn't do that until a year ago when I friend taught me how to do granny squares I will pop some pics in the hobby section when I get a moment Am a little pre-occupied as MIL has just brought me a Craft Robo for my birthday woohooo

Ah cant wait to see the pics! My cousins and aunty knit like mad! Lots of cute things too! lol

OH your MIL is a start buying a Robo....I didnt realise you were a crafter....Im an adicted crafter!! lol

Cardsm wedding invites stationary etc, Jewellery, celebration cakes and tower cakes! Sugar scrubs and soaps and basically anything crafty Im into it!

It's a great idea starting a scrap book for LO. I didnt do it when i was pregnant with DD but i did when she was born. I put the scan pics, photos of my bump the day before i had her, the wristbands from the hospital, the clip for her cord and the pics of her first days with all the family right up until her 1st bday.

I think with the next one i would def start early and make a book during the pregnancy as well. Its lovely to look back on stuff like that.

Plus we have a huge memory box that has lots of things like her first vest, her first painting and lots of bits and bobs from her bdays. Just lots of random things that i know she will appreciate looking back on when she is older because i wish my mum had done that for me.

We've put together a photo album of all the scan pics - ranging right from 7 weeks to now and going to finish it off with a bump picture of me, pictures of the baby when it's born and one of us all together, the last one will be of all 3 of us at our wedding a month after.

got a scrap book as well where i have all our engagement cards in, going to add in any baby cards we get when it's born, our wrist bands, and wedding cards as well. 2010 will have been a momentous year.
