So I only tarted my job in June and I'm on probation until December so I was unsure how it would go down but it went really well! My boss is leaving at the end of October so said she will sign my probation off early before she leaves.

She's agreed to all my changes (there isn't many) and was really supportive - she said I looked like shit and I need to tell her if I'm unwell, but I feel fine.

My last employer were terrible with me when I was pregnant so this is a relief and a weight off my mind :)

Glad it went well , mines being arsey I can tell , especially as I've had lots of problems and had to have 4 shifts off ... Bit this is my last shot so I don't care.

Gave me a warning because I went for blood tests and didn't make it back to work before the shift finished x

I do t think they can warn you for that!

Glad yours were reasonable for you.
Mine were great with it when I told them...then I got this week's rota 53 hours including travel :'( I've asked them to cut it down which they did last night as I had to go to emergency Dr's. But they just keep adding shifts onto me. I'm a home carer so my job is very physically demanding and I keep getting clients that are more physically demanding than others, keep worrying I'm straining myself too much.xx

If my boss was arsey with me I think Id just deliberately take every appointment going during work times. Most times I try and fit around, but you are entitled to time, however long that takes!

xxx

I used to do that job.

Have they done a risk assessment yet? If not they need to do one by law and I would go on the sick with stress until they do it. They need to safeguard you and if they're not doing that then they are breaking the law.

You can also write to them stating that you wish to renounce the extension of working time directive agreement

Nope no risk assessment has been done. Just asked me to let them know which clients are too much for me and when I feel im struggling! I know the first 3 months are the most important for safety of the baby, bu they seem to completely disregard that. I would go on sick bit I'm 0 hours contract so if I don't work I won't get any money and we need to save up every little bit we can. I have asked for reduced hours but like I said this week they've given me more.xx

Have you signed a document to allow yourself to work over fill time hours? If so you need to write and retract it and if not then you need to reduce anyway because it's not legal. Legally they need to do a risk assessment and you should get a copy so just ask them for a copy of your pregnancy risk assessment and see what they do. If you let them start off this way they will be a pain in the arse all pregnancy - believe me, I know

Oh thank you for that. I'll get onto them tomorrow when they're back in the office. Xx
