The midwife said that although she couldnt feel the head and it probably wont be very successful, my cervix is about 1cm dilated as she could get a fingertip through and it is soft

I think that all in all that is good?

Having another one on Thursday and then two next week aswell :)

thats good news then hopefully things will start moving for you bet you cant wait xx

yeah lets hope thats all little one needed oh and some more bouncing tonight hehe all the best lovely wont be long now xx

Great news - hope this great things rolling for you. Couldn't convince the doctor to give me a sweep today - have to wait till next mw appointment next Monday :(. Surely baby won't make me wait that long? I have had stern words with her about the distinction between being fashionably late and just plain rude! x

fingers crossed for you hun - things sound promising xxx

Thanks girls, I would love this baby to come now. Im finding it mega hard coping now especially when OH is on nights like tonight and Rosie is running around like a lunatic!

Thanks Mamafy - I wasnt sure what to think but its good that my cervix is soft and open a bit :)

Glad she did that for you, hope your LO gets moving soon to be good to its mummy!

Rosie is running around like a lunatic!

Full moon tonight. THe word lunatic derrives from the "lunar" (moon) causing people to go a bit crazy. My interesting fact of the day!!

Glad to hear your cervix is soft and 1cm dilated! thats fab news!!! Fingers crossed things start to happen. At least now you know if they do, your labour should progress nicely with a soft cervix :yay:

^^same as hysterical relating to crazy women - thats where hysterectomy comes from, it was said to cure them of their hysteria!

Yes Im hoping that this will give me a nice build up to my labour and ease me in, the last thing I want is to go over as they will only take me in for a section as they will not induce me. Fingers crossed!

to be fair, the word hysterical could be applied to me most days recently!!
