I've come to join you all. I was told to get my butt over here by Rhian and Minxy!
So here I am!

I've been given June 22nd as my DD, although I know this is not right as I don't have a 28 day cycle. The end of my ovulation was around day 25 (the day we BD) so I'm going to use that until I have my scan. I'm being booked in for an early scan as my Dr wants to check that I'm not further along due to my last cycle of 67 days. But I'm certain I am 4 weeks, so we shall see!

I remember reading somewhere that if its too early they have to scan you through your lady bits! Does anyone know how many weeks this is? Thanks

Yes if it is too early they will do an internal scan hun, I THINK they also say that it is hard to get an accurate measurement if you are too early on too so you still have to have your date confirmed by the dating scan at 12 weeks. HTH

ye a internal will more than likely be done however it's not that bad (from what i remember) i had one when we lost bambino, hope your further gone that way you get less of a wait

I really don't want one I know its way too early but my Dr wants to be sure. Also I wasn't planning on those kind of examinations until I was in labour!
Good to hear I will still get my 12 week scan though!

Hey hun, congrats and good to have you here!!!

They scan internally from about 4 weeks onwards, and can start to get clear ultrasounds from the tummy from about 8/9 weeks, so if you have your scan before then then it will be vaginally.

I had this type of scan when I was 5 weeks and I had lower tummy pain. It was honestly fine, wasnt the nicest thing ive ever had done but it wasnt horrible or anything! You will be ok, I promise.
