It's like he's fighting my nipple!!!

So my LO feeds okay for maybe the first five minutes but after then for some reason he gets all frustrated, winges and keeps coming off and then crying to get back on again straight away.
It's like he hates it but likes it at the same time.

Anyone have any idea what the issue is here? It's really difficult feeding at the moment and I feel like I am constantly trying to put him back on rather than just letting him get on with it and feed.

T would do this. It was very frustrating so I know how tough it is.

How old is LO?

I think it was just a fussy phase/growth spurt but I remember it being very stressful.

If you are sure the latch is ok and baby is gaining weight well and producing wet/dirty nappies etc then it could just be one of those things you have to ride out.

He will be 3 months early next month. Strange that it hasn't happened before now!

He is STILL doing it.
Feeling like I'll have o give up breast feeding. I don't want to but it's like a war every time I feed.

Got stressed out with him just now so have put him down and he is crying his eyes out, but I don't know what else to do because he just won't stay on the frikkin nipple!!!!!!!

Does he do it every feed? I would find she didn't do it each time just at the odd feed.

Hang in there hun. Chances are he would do the same with formula if its a growth spurt or wonder week etc xxxxx

My boy does this too, sometimes i burp him and he settles back on the boob. If this doesnt work though i give him his dummy and he settles. I dont let him play with my nipple as it starts hurting. I also think he has started teething as he is drooling, munching his hands and generally grizzley. I hope it is just a phase!

My little one does this you. As frustrating and annoying as it is I just keep relaxed and keep trying and eventually she goes back on and finishes her feed xx
