I heard this as well!
If you are using a cream based product, maybe try an oil instead? I find the oil leaves my skin alot softer than the creams

I agree oils work really well - I use wilkinson's own make as it's thicker than Johnson's - put it on after shower in the morning and my skin is still supple by the evening x x

Definitely no scratching! I do use oil, got myself mama oil at boot.
