Hey ladies sorry this is a bit delayed as things have been bit crazy since, izzy arrived.<br />

As alot of you know from previous threads I posted I was having lots of stop starts and signs to say labour was coming from about 37 and bit weeks. I had my midwife appointment on the 26th October and explained I had started loosing my plug the day before and that I was getting regular strong braxton hicks and mild period cramps where they would last up to 6 hours. Midwife thought things could happen any day now as sounded like my body was doing something. <br />
Friday 28th around 10pm my strong braxton hicks started again at regular intervals 8mins apart. So bounced on my ball for bit while watching big brother eviction interview. I had so much pressure in my pelvis and just thought it would all stop again. <br />
Oh and I decided to go bed at 11.45 and thought if it's going to carry on and progress then it will wake me up. <br />
1.45 I woke up to period pains with tightenings that were peaking then dying off. Woke OH up as they seemed to not be far apart and we timed them together. I was having one every 3-4 mins lasting a min but I was managing to breathe through them with OH help (he was amazing really calmed me), midwife said to call unit when I was having 3 contractions in 10mins. After timing for an hour my contractions jumped back to one every 15mins so I tried to get more sleep in between thinking it's going to be a long night! took some paracetamol as when I was laying down the pains were worse than standing. At about 4.30 I woke to the mother of all contractions and another very soon after decided I would jump in bath for freshen up, call triage and ring OH mum to come over to watch Ewan. contraction were now back to every 4-5 mins lasting a min but were soooo painful I felt I needed to go in. <br />
As soon as I got in bath that was it I got so much pressure and feeling like j needed to push. Called oh to call triage who heard me in back ground having contraction, told us to come straight in. Felt like I need a poo too (sorry tmi) so sat on loo this was about 5. As I pushed I could feel head coming down though and contractions were coming one onto of the other I screamed at oh to ambulance as we weren't going to make it to hospital my body wasn't going to move and I could feel head coming down then going back up. OH mum was in hall landing on phone to ambulance while shouting instructions to OH. Like get me off loo onto floor, can u see cord? Can u see head? as oh got me off loo onto floor my waters went. He had a look to see if he could see head which he could before she moved back up again. With that two paramedics walked in as I had my next contraction I delivered the head. They brought me the gas and air in had two breaths on it and was handed baby izzy onto my chest before it took affect. <br />

Baby isabelle ansell was born at roughly 6.05 no one had watch. OH was crying I was crying it was so emotional, izzy fed straight away which helped me contract to get the placenta out. OH took izzy to bathroom door to show his mum and Ewan who had woken up hearing me pushing. <br />

We then got into bed and waited for on call midwife to come check us over to see if we needed to go in. All her checks came back fine think she must have been tired though as she put in my notes that I delivered a boy and her weight in kg when conveyed didn't match what she told us in pounds. izzy is now 7lb exactly 2 days post birth. Feeding is going well second night was hard but think that was were she was trying to get milk to come in. <br />

I would recommend home birth to anyone now and if I have anymore I'll plan to have one so pain relief will be Avaliable, lol. So happy. With our little family we are all very much in live with her. And it was nice family came straight over and we all had tea and toast. <br />
