Is this normal for ovulation tests? could i be pregnant?

I took a pregnancy test on the 21st and 22nd of April and they came back a faint, but positive, on the 23rd April I had my period, was like a normal period so I thought I had had a chemical pregnancy.
My period ended on the 27th April and I had sex.
On the 28th April I had sex again, on the 1st May I took an ovulation test which was a strong positive, every day since the 1st May I've taken ovulation tests, which have all been strong positive (these tests are super duper expensive so I know there not wrong).
I have had sex several times in between those dates, on the 2nd May I took another pregnancy test which came back as negative.
I'm wondering if I am somehow pregnant - and when can I test? I find it weird that from 4 days after ending my period and for 10 days straight ive had positive ovulation tests.
Is there a chance of pregnancy which isn't being picked up by the pregnancy tests because its to early?
Ive heard ovulation tests pick up HCG, so can come back positive when pregnant?
I'm trying to conceive my first baby, so still attempting to figure everything out, been trying for almost a year now
