Maddison has just started doing this too and my HV a couple of weeks ago told me to put her on finger foods but i felt it was too soon .

I spoke to my HV today about maddison doing this and she said she is telling me its time for finger foods as she is wanting to try it herself.

I had loads of mess in my living room the other day because i was feeding her and she grabed the spoon whilst i was holding it and the food went everywhere lol

Batns of steamed carrot or parsnip, brocolli trees with the stalks to hold, anything 'chip' shaped so they've got lots to hold on to, strips of toast, slices of avocado, pear, big bits of banana.

Maia has toast, she prefers it in bigish triangles its easier for her to hold. She doesn't actually eat much of it, it more like she's playing with it! She also has those organix carrot sticks (like big wotsits) which she loves, and rice cakes.

    Its messy!
