Advice please.....is there actually any point buying any fertility books???? If we are having sex every day, not drinking, trying to eat healthy, not smoking, is there really going to be any other valid advice that is honestly going to help????!!! Sorry for sounding so pessimistic but we are at one year mark now and starting having blood/sperm tests etc and just think the books are going to be a waste as we are doing everything we can......unless anyone thinks differently and can recommend a good book????? Thank you!!

Fertility books sound like a great way to make money out of desperate people :( I'd bet there's nothing you couldn't find out on the internet.

One thing that one of our consultants said was to DTD every 2 days rather than every day, so your partner has a chance to recharge with better quality sperm.

If you're not already using OPKs I think they can be helpful in pinpointing the correct time to go for it.

Lastly, make sure you're both on vitamin supplements (especially your OH), they can make a massive difference to the quality, number & quantity of his sperm.

If you're already doing all those things then I'd have thought the tests hold more useful answers for you, or the ladies on here xx

I'm not buying any books as I think it is unlikely they will help or like tinselcat said tell you anything you can't already find out on the internet. I can sympathise with your frustration though, not knowing why it isn't happening is just horrible.

Personally I wouldn't bother..as the others say it's for free on the Internet. Get your test results first and then you might see where you could try something different or what the problem is. You might not even have a problem..sometimes it takes more than a year so they say. I totally understand the horror of the not knowing though...Ttc is no fun when it's not working ..best of luck xx
