Have heard from a few people that there are alternative treatments out there that can be used to increase fertility..such as chinese medicine. My sister in law was ttc for 4 yrs and swears that after taking some pills she got from a chinese herbalist shop she conceived after 7 months which is what the woman in the shop told her!

Anyone have an opinion on this or any other ideas?

know very little about chinese medicine but i have been told my GP that drinking 2-3 cups of green tea a day can double your chances of concieving.

wasnt there a post on here the other day about green tea being good but also that it had negative effects?

Yeh, lol, I started that thread. In moderation Green tea is very good, it is full of antioxidants. I was told that 2-3 cups a day helps strengthen the egg.

Hi Babyblues,

I've been ttc for a very long time. We are awaiting an appointment to see a fertility specialist with the intention of undergoing treatment very soon. As in the next few months or so.
After listening to a lot of people and doing some research i decided to give TCM a go.
I've been having acupunture for a couple of weeks. 3 sessions in total, spread out over about 6 weeks. She is helping to regulate my cycle as it is currently 41 days, i have very heavy and painful periods, and need to take tablets every month just to get out of bed. :( I have heavy large clots each month and PMT is a nightmare. :(
Since having 2 sessions of acupuncture, my period is still 41 days, :x but no pain, no clots and no painkillers required. I feel extremely calm and feel like pregnancy is just around the corner for me. This women has been amazing in lots of ways. Everyday my body feels like it's doing something and working the way it should be...
I would recommend it..................

Sounds promising hope it all works out for you loobie...got everything crossed for you! Thanks for the advice! x
