To wash baby's clothes an tri 3 tomorrow! I am worried I am gonna struggle later on due to SPD

I started washing mine at 29/30 weeks as the weather was gorgeous! if you leave it too late it might be difficult to get it all dry lol xx

Go for it. Dunno about you but we have glorious sunshinetoday, so make the most of it.

xxx

I've got some of the vacumn pack bag things. You know where you suck the air out with a hoover when you have filled it so it is sealed. So I'm gonna wash what I have and put them in there until closer to EDD.

Same here :) x

do it, dry it nice and then put it away til baby is born. the reason it needs washing is so that any dyde or chemicals that may have got onto it durning manufacturing or transport or any germs from ppl browsing the shops dont get onto baby when its born, a bit of dust wont hurt lol

I'd do it now if I were you hun. I did it when I just heading to tri3 and I'm glad I did because me and OH have bought her tons of stuff (all sizes from newbown to 6-9 months) and it took ages to wash, dry and then sort them all out in her room and when I went back to my hometown to visit I came back with about 3 bin bags worth of stuff and I've got more clothes coming for her from other friends lol. xx

Yeh I asked mum ad she said she did all mine when she was 26 weeks lol so first load on! Manhunt boy has so Many clothes

I started with the nappies this week as worried I will not get them all washed and dried in time - the new ones need 2 or 3 washes to increase the absorbency - very cute seeing the baby clothes drying on the line

Jen, I'd love to hear how you get on with the real nappies. I'm considering them but everyone seems to think I'm mad!!!

Everyone thinks I am mad too LOL I decided to buy loads second hand on ebay and a friend gave me loads of pre-loved ones - this way I can see which ones I like best and then buy some of those new - so far have spent about £70 and I have far too many LOL The little lambs ones I washed this week seem to dry really quickly. Anyone I chat to who have done it say it is all about routine and I like routine - check out the alternative parenting section on the forum for more tips from people who have done it :)
