my mate is 9 weeks pregnant and has no problem so far in her pregnancy is it to early to be stockin up for presants for the baby ?

i think it is... nine weeks is too early, not saying anything will happen by far, but she has not had her 12 week scan....

i'm 16 weeks and i don't want to buy anyhting till my 20 week scan.

maybe she she wait a bit, then she'll no the sex and it will be so much more better..

they usually say wait til 12wks as thats when its considered safer and less likely to be any problems, but i didnt wait when i found out and im now getting well on my way to baby being here

Too early I think too but everyone is different. I'd probably get something small just out of excitement and making it feel more real.

My sister got me maternity stuff for Christmas but nothing for Jade as she's superstitious. My mum got loads though and I have too since 20 weeks.

I think its rubbish some hospitals tell you and others dont, the only hospital where i stay and they dont tell you after some girl sued the hospital for stating the wrong sex, since then they dont tell you.

I would want to know. So i could buy things that arent just white coloured.

I am defo opting for a 4d scan once the time comes.

That pisses me off too. There is only one around here that do tell you because some indian religious abort of they aren't a boy, bloody cheek! I am British in my own country so should have the right to be told if I want to.

mym mum started buying lil bits when i started ttc , just to soread the cost out , she hasnt lately tho , xmas isnt a time for soare pennies lol and i dont mind her doing this , as i know one day i will have a baby , somehow !

I went shopping after my scan at 18weeks (very late dating scan). Thats when i found out the sex too xxxxx

Speaking from personal experience, I would wait until your sure everything is ok, it's heart breaking enough when you find something is wrong without having loads of baby stuff laying around that your babys never going to wear.
Besides you'll have plenty of time to buy everything you need later on.
That's just my opinion anyway.

I would wait hun i had a scan with my last pregnancy and i was 8weeks an 2 day gone and when i got to 12 weeks i misscrarried they said the babys heartbeat had stopped at 8weeks and 5 days, I dont for a second think your friend will im sorry if iv upset you like i said i doubt she will but i had bought so much stuff for the baby believing it would all be ok and the hardest thing was packing them away, i still have the stuff in a box in my wardrobe and ill keep them forever but even now i cant bare to look at them,
