Hi everyone! I only just found out that I'm pregnant 2 days ago, and now I am wondering whether it is safe for me to start some sort of exercising apart from walking. I worked out moderately throughout summer, but then quit completely, so I am definitely not in the best shape. I've read that indoor cycling is quite safe but not sure whether it is okay to start during pregnancy? I'm talking about moderate cycling for 30-40 mins couple of times a week, no spinning classes.

Thank you!

Hey wanderlust. You can do moderate exercise but shouldn't really be starting something new... If cycling was part of your old exercise regime then it should be ok BUT ... My understanding is that you must be careful not to overheat, you need to drinks loads of water and don't exercise above a level where you can't hold a conversation.
Congratulations too!
Being fit and healthy will help with preg and birth :-) xx

It's safe to exercise when pregnant as long as you're doing something you did before getting pregnant. Pregnancy is not the time to start a new fitness regime. Just keep up with plenty of walking.

As Aragon told if it is your part of regular activity then it is ok but you have to take care.
