I can't say I am that bothered about the ceremony, but everyone keep saying that I must go and get a photo in a funny hat It's going to be a rather expensive photo though (over £100 for the ceremony!).
I am not 100% sure I would like my MIL to look after the baby either... She is so relaxed about everything! We have rather different views on hygiene, for example. Even though I understand that she has more experience with the babies and I probably just have to trust her.
